Do you have a laundry room that is in need of functional storage solutions? Today’s post is focused on the top 5 essential products you need for your laundry room. Having an organised and functional laundry room is, in my opinion, the number one priority in any home. Why? Because if you have a family and kids in particular you are endlessly doing laundry. We have so many piles of laundry to do that it really does feel like it takes over my home.

I know not everyone is lucky enough to have a full laundry room including me. These functional products will help you out whether you only have space for one or even 5. The best tip I can give you here is that you need to improvise and be creative. If you don’t have a laundry room, try creating a corner or cupboard that is dedicated to all of your laundry items. If you need help putting functional systems and processes in place to make your routines simpler then reach out via email. Or better yet set up a call with me so we can discuss the many ways I can help you. From in-home organising and advice to virtual sessions, all are guaranteed to give you ideas and help create an organised and functional home (and life).
Wall Shelving System
Wall Shelving System is a great way to create shelving for your laundry room which can be customised and fitted between appliances. This option allows you to put together a functional system that is right for you. You can use the pegboard to store your washing pods, pegs, sponges and more. If you are looking for a more heavy-duty option, add some creativity and colour to these builder pegboards which could also work for your laundry room.
Pegboard
Oh and speaking of wall-mounted organisational systems, I am really loving this utility hanger which allows you to add all of your brooms, brushes, sweepers etc, getting them all off the floor and making more space available. Another way to keep your surfaces clear of clutter in your laundry room is to use a wall organiser pegboard. This adds some design and style to your laundry room whilst at the same time making it very functional.
Free-Standing Utility Unit
If you have a wall space that you can use to create yourself a mini-laundry then you need a free-standing unit with shelving built-in. These handy units ensure all of your laundry essentials are all in one place. This saves time and leaves you with a stylish and organised space, you actually want to use. And we all know how boring doing laundry is sometimes, right!

Door Organisers
One of my favourite storage solutions for any room really (but works pretty well for utility rooms too) is a door hanger. They are a great way to make use of unused spaces at the back of your doors. Getting door hangers for your utility room would be a great addition to any organised home.
Stackable Baskets
I love a good stackable basket. They are great for easily transporting bits and bobs around your home. I like to use one as a catch-all basket for all the loose items around my home. At the end of the day, I go around each room putting everything back in its place. They are easy to carry around and you can use it for your cleaning products, washed clothing and more. Bonus point, they take up very little room as they stack up or you can even get the ones that fold away to a smaller size.
