(AD | GIFTED) One of the most important baby essentials for any parent (whether you are new or this is your 3rd child) is baby wipes. We use to clean up wet nappies, we use them to clean up dirty yucky nappies and we even use them to wipe our little baby’s hands and faces when messy. But with so much choice out there when it comes to baby wipes, don’t be intimidated when picking your favourite. There are a few pointers you should look out for when buying baby wipes, such as the consistency, the texture, the ingredients and of course past reviews. I am putting together this product review of the biodegradable baby wipes by Aqua Wipes to help you learn more about these amazing eco-friendly, chemical-free baby wipes.

Biodegradable Baby Wipes by Aqua Wipes
I was very kindly gifted a set of baby wipes to try out by Aqua Wipes and Azaria PR Agency. There are quite a few reasons why we loved the Aqua Wipes and first and foremost is the fact that these biodegradable, vegan-friendly baby wipes are made out of 99.6% purified water and contain organic aloe vera. This is very important when choosing baby wipes for your baby’s delicate skin. We need it to be as gentle as possible and with minimal additives and harsh products.

Why use Aqua Wipes?
Aqua baby wipes are 100% biodegradable and compostable making them not only kind to your baby’s skin but also to the environment. Aqua Wipes support zero waste and sustainability by ensuring that these baby wipes are plastic-free containing 100% natural fibers. Most baby wipes are 70% plastic so this makes for another very important factor when selecting the baby wipes you will be using with your newborns. We all need to do our part to help the environment and protect our world. By going plastic-free we are minimising waste and the amounts of plastic products that we are putting out there.
The Aqua Wipes have been dermatologically and pediatrician tested and hypoallergenic. This gives parents the comfort we need to be sure that the products that we use on our baby’s skin are safe, gentle and actually recommended by doctors and dermatologists. And of course, if the biodegradable Aqua Wipes have been developed specifically for the NHS to use in the special care, maternity and neonatal units then you know you are onto a winner.
One of the top reasons why they are safe on baby’s skin is that the Aqua Wipes are chemical-free. They are paraben, SLS, alcohol, and perfume-free, and can be used from birth and on the most sensitive newborn skin.
These baby wipes are also very strong and wet – this is important as it ensures that all dirty messes (poo!) are cleaned up easily and quickly. No one wants baby wipes that are dry and flimsy that they fall apart during your nappy changes.

How to use baby wipes properly
-
Don’t flush them! Baby wipes can block up your pipes and plumping so don’t flush them down the toilet – dispose of them in the bin.
-
Diaper Rash: if your baby develops diaper rash you may need to reassess your brand of nappies or wipes and swap them for another brand. In some cases, you may need to ditch the wipes altogether and go back to the old fashioned methods and clean your baby with cotton pads or a washcloth soaked in warm water.
Verdict
I would definitely recommend the Aqua Wipes to new mummies and mummies-to-be as a baby essential when it comes to choosing the brand of baby wipes to use on your newborn’s delicate sensitive skin.
They come in single packs (64 wipes), Value bag 4 x 64 (256 wipes) and Value box 12 x 64 (768 wipes). My favourite is the travel sizes that fit in your diaper or handbag – very handy. They do a travel pack box of 12 packs x 12 (144 wipes).
Currently, Boots.com has an offer for £2 per single pack and a value bag 4 packs is £10. You can get the travel box on Amazon Prime for £11.99 currently.
