(AD) My favourite season has to be autumn. I love when the leaves turn yellow. I love it when the evenings turn orange. And of course I love Halloween, pumpkins and toffee apples. With the fall season, comes wool coats, slim-legged jeans and my favourite fall-item: knee-high boots. In association with by XY London, I have put together a short guide on how to easily style knee-high boots for the fall. I chose the ruched black faux suede knee-high boots with a block heel. I like these as I always love to pair nearly all of my outfits for fall with a cute pair of boots.

There are many ways to style knee-high boots. Whether it is with a cute comfy skirt or a pair of comfy leggings, knee-high boots will no doubt look great, classy and chic. A few of my favourite items to pair with knee-high boots include autumn style woollen jacket, cross-body bag (this one is cute too), leather mini skirt, longline vest and cardigan, moto-style leggings, (US link), slim blue jeans and a tote shopper bag!
The Leggings Look
What I love about this look is that I get to pair these knee-high with comfy leggings. I literally live in leggings and the ones pictured below are from Belly Bandit which are also great for compression and tightening your waist post-partum. They are comfy, tight and soft.
The Leather Skirt Look
Before kids I used to wear skirts a lot! Especially to the office. It made me look chic, collected and tidy. Nowadays I hardly ever wear a skirt, partly due to being on maternity leave, and partly because it is much more comfy for me to wear leggings and loungewear! The leather skirt featured below is an old favourite of mine (doubt they do it nowadays though) from Warehouse!

The Slim Jeans Look
When it comes to jeans and boots you need to find the right pair. This is very important as stuffing in a wide-legged pair of jeans into your tight boots will make you look bulky and messy. With knee-high boots I would definitely recommend wearing a pair of slim dark blue jeans as it will elongate your legs and make you look slimmer! The current one I am wearing is from George By Asda! They’re more a stretchy jegging then jeans but you do need to go for a half size smaller then you think. I got 14 but they are massive.

Verdict
As you see it is pretty simple to create different, versatile and chic outfits for your knee-high boots especially for autumn when the days start getting shorter, the nights colder and the leaves more golden, turning our parks and streets into Instagram-worthy pictures. These boots were comfortable and you don’t feel like you’re wearing heels at all: my favourite type of heels! I hope you found some inspiration as to how you can start preparing for fall. If you want to recreate these exact looks then head over to XY London and pick your own knee-high boots (they have different colours, prints and textures).
