Mother’s Day 2020 is fast approaching on 22nd March and it’s time to plan our Mother’s Day gifts for our dear mummies. Plus as a mum of 2 under 2 this year, I too am looking forward to receiving my presents from the three men in my life, so yes this Mother’s Day Gift Guide is compiled partly with gifts I too would love to receive! Keep reading for my Mother’s Day Gift Guide ideas.
We are all very excited about Mother’s Day this year as it also coincides with my parents’ 35th Wedding Anniversary that weekend so we will be celebrating big time. I’ll be covering wedding anniversary gifts too in another gift guide soon! Subscribe below to receive all my updates.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide (6 best gift ideas)
1. Jewellery from San Rocca Italia
Ladies and mothers love jewellery and one of the gifts I decided to gift to my own mum is this gorgeous personalised necklace from my new favourite online boutique, San Rocca Italia! They do such cute original pieces. I was gifted this chic personalised necklace and I added such cute words that I know my mum will love. Each ring on the necklace takes up to 30-40 characters and there are 2 so you can get quite a lot down if you want. Anything personalised and pretty makes a great thoughtful gift I am very happy with the gift, and San Rocca Italia for suggesting it to me. 2. Handbag hook from Aspinal of London
These little bag books are just so handy I honestly don’t know why more of us girls don’t have one in our handbags. I was gifted one of these many years ago and when I remember to use it, my bag has a place other than on the back of my chair/ on the floor. The one I was gifted also came with a mirror inside which, come on, is super handy when you have a certain size handbag and cannot fill it with unnecessary crap – yes we all do it. Aspinal are also doing a springtime special with 15% off using code SPRING20

3. Virgin Experience Gifts
Experience gifts are a new favourite of mine for birthday’s, celebrations, leaving dos and anniversaries. Who doesn’t like to receive a cool experience such as driving a race car (for father’s day for example)? I know I would love to receive a trip to a spa or a weekend away trying something new. Here are a few things which I found at Virgin Experience which I think most mums will enjoy receiving.
- Spa Retreat & Afternoon Tea experience
- Luxury Spa Treatment with Elemis Beauty
- Champagne Afternoon Tea for 2 at the Ritz
- Full-Day Excursion for 2 on Northern Belle Luxury Train
Some of these experiences have a 50% discount so check them out if this is something that you think you’re mum will like!
4. Personal Shopping Trip
This is something I have wanted to try for as long as I remember. Remember the scene from Pretty Woman where Richard Gere brings Julia Roberts to a clothing store and gives his credit card to the sales associates? They sit her down, bring her champagne and bombard her with pretty clothes, shoes and accessories for her to choose from. This is what I WANT. This is also something I know my mum would want too.
For any new mammas who have either outgrown their pre-birth wardrobes or post-birth just want something completely different then this should be a great experience for you. I know I need a full wardrobe update from head to toe and seriously need to do a big ASOS/ H&M, Zara shop to update my capsule wardrobe.
A few different stores that I have researched on providing personal shopping include
They are all by appointment only, so think about what store your mum prefers to shop at, think about how much of a budget you would like to set if you’re paying for the clothes too and make an appointment for her. I’m pretty sure mums will be happy to receive such a gift plus it’s not the usual bunch of flowers, candy, cards kind of gift, so points for innovation and originality.
5. NESSA Organics
A recovery organic skincare company makes products for new mummies that are 100% Natural, 95% Organic, Vegan Certified, Cruelty & Fragrance-Free. I was kindly gifted the Scar Saviour cream to try to combat my stretch marks left by my little angel. You rub the cream onto your body each day (soft and not sticky) and watch as the scars/ stretch marks disappear. I really do recommend using this. Even though it’s only been like 3-4 weeks for me I am slowly seeing some results. Will hopefully have the courage to put up before and after pictures for you.

The Scar Saviour cream: “Multi-award winning vitamin-infused balm offers skin instant hydration and works to accelerate skin and scar recovery. Loaded with powerful plant actives, oils and butters that help minimise the appearance, colour and texture of scars naturally. Safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.” Check out their massage techniques from 6 weeks and from 3 months
The Balm Duo Gift Set Bundle with the Nipple SOS and Scar Saviour would make a great idea for Mother’s Day for a new mum or mum to be as it will take care of their basic needs to start with once little baby arrives. The Nipple SOS will help with the wonders of breastfeeding and the Scar Saviour will help any stretch marks or c-section scars. Winner all around.

6. Belly Bandit
Gift idea number 6 in our Mother’s Day Gift Guide is to buy new mums or mums to be a few cute pieces from Belly Bandit. I absolutely LOVE this brand. It has helped me so much through both my pregnancy and post-partum too. I was kindly gifted a few of their pieces including the Bump Support Leggings (US link) (pregnancy), Mother Tucker Leggings (US link) (postpartum) and just recently the Bandita Nursing Bra (US link)! All amazing pieces, all of great quality and all 3 items do exactly what they say on the tin!! I cannot get enough of Belly Bandit.
One item that a new mum would definitely benefit from is the Belly Wrap (US link) (I purchased this one myself) and I was in awe in how it actually helped with my belly post-birth. It needs to be worn for at least the first 6 weeks after having your baby and the “medical grade elastic…helps gently reshape your belly, waist and hips post-pregnancy“.
They come in such luxury designs which can, in fact, be worn on their own without anything on top because they look so cute. Personally, I wore it underneath my clothes for most of the day when I was at home. It is recommended to be worn all day even when out but I personally couldn’t actually go ALL day with it on. But nevertheless, it helped me so much. With my first son, it took ages for my belly to shrink post-birth, but this time around it happened so much faster. I’m so thankful to Belly Bandit for this belly wrap.
