(AD | PR Sample) As a busy mum, I find it so hard to eat healthily and sticking to a plan so I can lose weight more efficiently. I just cannot seem to find the time to sit down and meal plan. And I definitely cannot find time to cook healthy nutritious meals for myself. I always find myself eating the leftovers (which is quite a lot) after the kids! That’s my secret to the not-so-toned body of mine!
Yes, I need to eat more healthy foods and exercise more. That is why I was so excited to have been gifted a pack of 10 healthy nutritious meals by Muscle Food! A subscription service specifically for the healthy fitness folk who want help with diets, nutritious meals and healthy living.

Muscle Food
I was very kindly provided access to Muscle Food’s Prepped Pots and selected 10 ready-made meals to be delivered to my home for me to try during a 2 week period and report back on my findings. Not only does this help you know what to eat and when it keeps you healthy and saves time preparing your food. If you’re like me and breastfeeding then you know that eating on time and healthy food is important for milk production!
Muscle Food has a variety of different products including ready meals, snack energy bars, protein drinks, soups, vegan choices, milk alternatives, drinks, egg and dairy products, supplements, prepped raw meat, Nandos sauces, seafood and even ready-made hampers.
They offer a subscription service as well which is great for ensuring you receive your meals on time every month or every few weeks. They even deliver every-day groceries right to your door. Everything they provide is created to help you lose weight.
Prepped Pots
The Prepped Pots are so handy! They are low-calorie ready meals with low salt, fat and sugar and high in protein. They really do make the perfect healthy lunch pot! The ingredients used are 100% clean and they help you to lose weight (as part of an overall balanced diet and of course some form of exercise) and to build muscle.
Each meal varies between 275 and 500 calories depending on what you choose. The ones I picked were around 360 calories so that makes for a perfect lunchtime meal. My overall calorie intake per day is 1,500. PLEASE note that I am not a personal trainer nor a doctor so cannot say what you should be doing. I can only say what I have researched for myself and what I follow.

The meals are easy to grab from the freezer, throw in the microwave and enjoy in under 8 minutes. I recommend storing them in the freezer as you cannot consume all 10 at once. The packaging is recyclable and reusable plastic, so great for us eco-friendly, zero-waste wannabes! They’re delivered chilled at the correct temperature ready for you to use!

Verdict
I really enjoyed being able to eat a varied diet with my meals all planned out and prepared! Only thing I would point out was that some of the dishes tasted a little bit bland. If your taste buds are used to spices, salt, pepper and herbs then these pots were missing these ingredients. But if you don’t mind adding your own salt and pepper then definitely give these a try.
The whole subscription service really helped me know what I was eating each day for lunch. It helped me know what nutrients I got & I didn’t have to stress about cooking at the last minute.
